A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE OUTSTANDING SERVICE OF REPRESENTATIVE ED RYAN AS A MEMBER OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.

WHEREAS, Representative Ed Ryan, a resident of Biloxi, Mississippi, has served as a member of the House of Representatives for the past 12 years; and

WHEREAS, Representative Ryan, Vice Chairman of the House Juvenile Justice Committee, serves on the House Conservation and Water Resources Committee, the Transportation Committee and the Ways and Means Committee; and

WHEREAS, Representative Ryan has ably and effectively represented the best interest of his constituents and the people of the State of Mississippi during his many years of service in the House; and

WHEREAS, during his tenure as a member of the House, Representative Ryan has given tireless devotion to those issues that not only affect Biloxi but the entire Mississippi Gulf Coast; and

WHEREAS, a former long-time Biloxi law enforcement officer, Representative Ryan was the chief and director of the Biloxi Public Safety Department; and

WHEREAS, Representative Ryan has been lovingly supported in all his endeavors by his beautiful wife, the former Diane Christensen, and his children, Belinda and Michelle; and

WHEREAS, Representative Ryan's friendly nature, constructive attitude and forthright manner have had a positive influence on all those who have had the pleasure of working with this highly respected member of the House:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and express deepest appreciation to Representative Ed Ryan for his dedicated service as a member of the House of Representatives and extend to him our heartiest wishes for success in all his future endeavors.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Representative Ryan and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
